故事以游戏为基础，是前作D.C.53年之后的故事。故事中两位女主角朝仓音姬和朝仓由梦是前作主角的孙女，但动画以女主角之一的月岛小恋与主角交往为开头，以游戏剧情的天枷美夏路线为结尾。。王峻毅（陈罗密欧饰）是民防部队的主管军官。他带领医疗救护人员和消防人员，总会竭尽所能守护伤者，完成救援工作。同一团队的萱玟（陈楚寰饰）和书敏（芳榕饰）发现队友Jayden（邓伟德饰）与峻毅之间的兄弟之情转为冷漠，试图找出缘由，意外地在过程成与峻毅和Jayden产生情愫。。"Last Chance U" follows a group of young men training to become the future stars of the NFL.
