护士钟平和丈夫潘六月冷战半年了，她决定上采油平台找当队长的六月了结婚姻，六月的混账弟弟也赶来凑热闹，但突来的风浪把他们和赴平台慰问的文艺小分队阻在了海上石油平台上。台风在不断增强，并最终形成了超强风暴潮，平台人们面临生死抉择，国家财产面临毁灭，六月带领工人们在与风暴潮搏击中展现出了铁骨头作风，钟平、八月和文艺小分队受到感染。短短几天相处，工人们和小分队演职员之间逐渐互相理解，而钟平和六月的情感经过风暴潮的洗礼也面临新的抉择。。The film opens with a narrated disclaimer over footage of an opening coffin.
