香港少女青霞（周慧敏）的父亲是香港黑社会的大哥马六甲（郑则士），但她找的未婚夫却是新加坡反黑组警员阿汉（黎明），她与男友从新家坡回到香港，准备让男友与其父亲见面。不料马六甲对这桩婚事并不满意，青霞刚下飞机就被他的手下劫持，与阿汉失散。阿汉到处寻找青霞，求助于其在香港的好友杨义（陈勋奇），两人到处打听青霞的下落。阿汉偶遇性感女子蓉蓉（郭秀云），蓉蓉假装无家可归，被其缠上不能脱身，其实蓉蓉乃是马六甲派来离间汉与青霞之间感情的，青霞果然中计，误会阿汉与蓉蓉有私情，愤而离开阿汉，阿汉为了青霞对他的不信任深感愤怒，而此时马六甲的对头笑面虎因不知内情，派手下前来追杀阿汉……。《北斗神拳》前传作品，主角霞拳志郎原本是东京的一所大学的讲师，他刻意把自己的能力隐藏起来，平时活像一个普通人。但后来青帮的朋友李永健到东京找他，并说他的朋友潘光琳及其妹潘玉玲有麻烦之后，拳志郎便只身启程到上海去救他们。。Young people use music to express their new awareness of life and generational opposition to their parents, as well as to protest the social and political climate in East Germany.
