Subjects of Desire is a thought provoking film that examines the cultural shift in beauty standards towards embracing (or appropriating) Black aesthetics and features, deconstructing what we understand about race and the power behind beauty.。林芊芊身为林家千金，为嫁何云飞离家出走。何云飞为低成本娶妻，听从母亲之计使林芊芊未婚先孕。婚礼上，何云飞擅自将彩礼降至五百二，林芊芊因孕妥协。改口时，婆婆又索要高额改口费，种种行径让林芊芊彻底看清何家一家人的丑恶面目 。。梦想藏在每个人的心中，有的人会把它藏一辈子，有的人会不顾一切的去追逐梦想，卢鹏程就是后者！在追逐梦想的路上，充满了坎坷和不如意。但是他的倔强与坚韧最终让他寻找到了梦想的光环。。
