北城兵马司副指挥使武川在押送案犯“花千海”时被宋轩劫走，因失职被革职贬为更夫。武川心有不甘，暗中追查宋轩下落，却在准备抓捕时卷入一起惊天大案。二人遭追杀后被迫联手，最终协助五城兵马司破获案件。。一幢即将清拆的旧楼内，住着一群老街坊，各有不同背景，大都是草根市民。而这幢旧楼正被大地产商看中，计划将之收购重建，故派遣手下向各住户威迫利诱迫迁。各街坊为着得到更优厚的赔偿，各怀私心，抱着强硬态度与地产商对抗，发生连串激烈纠纷，但当中亦使两家斗气冤家化敌为友，同舟共济，面对困难。。it was announced in September 2023, with another four episodes planned for the series, continuing to follow the officers from a South Carolina sheriff's department as they search for missing people.
