百无聊赖的马晓苏从抽屉深处翻出一大堆儿时的同学录、笔友信件之类的老黄历来，逐一翻阅，最后突然想起了曾经中学时代的一个梦想……。影片将流浪汉查理和一个弃儿间的感人故事演绎得淋漓尽致。查理在垃圾箱旁拾到弃儿并收养了他，弃儿小小年纪就已懂事，不仅担当家务，还和养父合演双簧以便挣钱糊口：他负责砸烂玻璃窗，而养父则将砸烂的玻璃换好。查理和弃儿间充满了父子情深，他数次帮助弃儿躲避警察的追捕，以免弃儿被送入孤儿院。不久，弃儿与母亲团聚，而后又被拐走。查利遍寻无果，他在疲惫的梦中到了天堂。此时，警察将他的美梦打断，并把他带到一个女演员的家中，在那里，他与弃儿惊喜地重逢！。Someone downloads an app on your phone behind your back.
