本片以中国旗袍手工艺中重要的一个环节“打板”为媒介，讲述了一对生活在北京胡同里的林家父子之间的故事，他们之间因手艺的传承发生了很多时而欢喜时而感人的故事，历经重重困难最后父子连心将中国旗袍推向世界舞台。After surviving an IED explosion in combat overseas, a young soldier with the Army Motorcycle Unit is medically discharged with a broken back and leg. Against all odds he trains to make an impossible comeback as a motocross racer in order to support his family.。
