The competition is hosted by Will Shortz during The American Crossword Pu...。中学生田中爱之助（山田凉介 饰）天生弱视，在接受哥哥田中梦人（横山裕 饰）的角膜移植后，他的左眼在受到冲击时会出现神秘的画面。在经历了一连串的意外事件后，爱之助惊讶地发现自己的哥哥是个天才犯罪策划者，左眼看到的神秘影像其实就是哥哥所设计的犯罪计划。看到曾经温柔的哥哥变成邪恶的罪犯，爱之助决心要阻止他的犯罪计划。 时隔三个月，爱之助的左眼再次出现神秘影像，与此同时，城内开始出现一起起高超巧妙的犯罪事件，这些案件的幕后策划者是否就是梦人？爱之助左眼上的影像能否帮助他破解案件？左目侦探VS天才犯罪策划者的对决，就此展开。。
