中世纪，一位修道士意外惨死之后，教会派了一个理性的审判者马塔奥来调查被指控的女巫。随着更多的修道士神秘死亡，马塔奥自己也被牵连其中，他必须明白：科学无法解释他周围的恐怖事件，否则他就将被这个修道院中的魔鬼所引诱……。Following the murder of her family at the hands of her father in the wake of World War I, a young woman is sent to live in a convent. However, her demons follow and manifest themselves in ways which bring the nightmares of her past with her.。抗日战争时期，一个青年女子由于追求精神和物质享受受而堕人敌特组织，干了一系列特务勾当。最后，当她在临难不屈的共产党员的精神感召下，有所觉悟时，被杀死。。
