清纯女孩大内美穗（松冈茉优 饰）出生在关东地区位于大山深处的一个名为止村的所在，自从政府推行市町村合并以来，这里的人口不断流失，各种配套设施老化落后。随着老龄化程度加深，而今止村只是一个人口约五十人且行将消失的暮年村落。美穗的母亲早年去世，父亲正登（反町隆史 饰）当年因债务纠纷离开家乡当了出租车司机。爷爷一男不畏艰辛和贫苦，坚持贯彻中止有机蔬菜的理念。在毫无征兆的一天，看起来硬硬朗朗的爷爷突然病故，而借着葬礼的机会美穗终于见到了13年未曾谋面的父亲。 一男的去世让止村的有机蔬菜事业也陷入困局。求职过程中不断碰壁的美穗下定决心继承爷爷的事业，而发誓不在回归故土的正登似乎也暗下了决定……。在Kiruna的教区发生一宗残暴的谋杀案，以斯德哥尔摩为根据地的女律师Rebecka回到故乡小镇，来帮助涉嫌谋杀的好友。但她却把自己陷入了危险的境地...。A strange man comes into a house with only the wife.
