During the cold and rainy off-season a man arrives in a seaside town and, giving his name only as Pierre, checks into the only hotel which remains open. His arrival arouses curiosity and a degree of suspicion, as people note that he appears to know the area, yet gives no explanation for his presence at that bleak time of year in the dead-end town.。本作は1960年代前半の東京を舞台に、まだ何者でもない“少年ルパン”が高度経済成長期の日本を駆け巡るオリジナルストーリー。アニメーションでルパンの少年期が描かれるのは今回が初めてだ。原作者のモンキー・パンチが描いた少年期（ジャリルパン）からヒントを得る形で、13歳の中学生がいかにして大泥棒ルパン三世となったのかという始まりの物語が全6話で紡がれる。。The story behind the song "Who Let the Dogs Out," which became a hit for the Bahamian group Baha Men in 1998.。
