该剧是根据宁津县已故作家郭澄清的著名长篇小说《大刀记》改编的。《大刀记》是我国唯一一部描绘鲁西北平原地区抗日战争的长篇小说，也是“文化大革命”时期出版并广泛流传至今的唯一一部抗日题材的文学作品，它体现的是“群众是真正的铜墙铁壁”。。Fårö Document 1979 is the ten-year followup to the first documentary Bergman made about his adopted home, Fårö, where he filmed many of his best works and lived until the end of his life。
