一名男子及其女性同伴试图消灭将他转变为蝗虫型合成强化人的非法组织，阻止其控制日本社会的计划。。奈良にある興福寺から「裏の八部衆像」を守ってほしいと依頼を受けた孔雀。一般には知られていない像だが、その存在を知る何者かが狙っているという。そして、孔雀は「裏の八部衆像」の「阿修羅象」に史上最強の鬼が封印されていたことを知るのだった。鬼の復活を阻止する為、孔雀の戦いが始まる――。真言密教の総本山・高野山の裏に存在する退魔師・孔雀の戦いを描いた原作を元に、制作されたオリジナルアニメ作品。。Back Stage is a 1919 comedy, one of the last films that Buster Keaton would appear with Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle before they went their separate ways, Keaton would get his own studio, and Arbuckle got into feature length films.
